1. Our Agreement

1.1 About Subtrack-App

Subtrack-App ("Subtrack-App", "we", "our", or "us") is a subscription management application that helps users track, manage, and cancel their recurring subscriptions and free trials. Subtrack-App operates the website at subtrack-app.com and related services (together, the "Service").

📌 Important: Subtrack-App is a subscription tracking tool only. We are not a financial services provider, payment institution, or financial adviser. We do not access your bank accounts, initiate payments, or provide regulated financial advice.

1.2 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you accept these Terms of Service ("Terms") and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

1.3 Entire Agreement

These Terms (together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy) set out the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Service.

2. The Service

2.1 What Subtrack-App Does

Subtrack-App provides a subscription management service that allows you to:

  • Manually add and track your recurring subscriptions and free trials
  • Optionally connect your email (Gmail and/or Outlook) to scan for subscription receipts and invoices
  • Receive reminders before subscription renewals and trial expirations
  • Access cancellation guides and direct links for 55+ UK subscription services
  • View analytics and insights about your subscription spending
  • Split shared subscription costs with friends or flatmates (Pro feature)
  • Compare your subscription habits against UK averages

2.2 What Subtrack-App Does NOT Do

  • Automatically cancel subscriptions on your behalf
  • Access your bank accounts or payment methods
  • Process payments to third-party service providers
  • Guarantee successful cancellation of any subscription
  • Provide financial, legal, or tax advice

2.3 Eligibility

By using the Service, you warrant that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Access to the Service

3.1 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must not allow anyone else to access the Service using your account.

3.2 Unauthorised Access

You must notify us immediately at support@subtrack-app.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

3.3 Manual Data Entry

All subscription information in Subtrack-App is manually entered by you (unless detected via the optional Email Scan feature). You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the data you enter.

4. Email Scan Feature (Gmail & Outlook)

4.1 Optional Feature

The Email Scan feature is entirely optional. You may use all other features of Subtrack-App without connecting any email account.

4.2 Authorisation

When you connect your email account, you authorise Subtrack-App to access your emails on a read-only basis via Google OAuth (Gmail API) or Microsoft OAuth (Microsoft Graph API). We cannot send, delete, or modify your emails.

4.3 Data Extraction

Our detection algorithm scans for patterns matching subscription receipts, invoices, and renewal notices. Only metadata (service name, amount, date) is extracted. No email content is stored on our servers.

4.4 No Guarantee of Accuracy

The Email Scan feature uses automated detection with confidence scoring. Results may include false positives or miss some subscriptions. You should review all detected subscriptions before adding them to your account.

4.5 Revocation

You may disconnect your email at any time via the Subtrack-App interface, or revoke access directly from your Google or Microsoft account security settings.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Free Plan

Subtrack-App offers a free plan limited to 5 subscriptions. No payment information is required.

5.2 Pro Subscription

Subtrack-App offers a paid Pro subscription (£2.99/month or £24/year) that unlocks unlimited subscriptions, advanced analytics, the Shared Subscription Splitter, and data export.

5.3 Free Trial

New Pro subscribers are eligible for a 7-day free trial. No charges will be made during the trial period. You may cancel at any time during the trial without charge.

5.4 Billing and Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.

5.5 Automatic Renewal

Pro subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.

5.6 Cancelling Your Pro Subscription

You may cancel at any time from your Account Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods, except as required by law.

🇬🇧 UK Consumer Rights Notice: Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your Pro subscription within 14 days of purchase and receive a full refund. To exercise this right, contact us at support@subtrack-app.com within 14 days of your initial purchase. This right applies to new subscriptions only, not to renewals.

6. Cancellation Assistant and Guides

The Cancellation Assistant, cancellation guides, URLs, and email templates are for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee that any particular cancellation method will be successful. You are solely responsible for verifying cancellation procedures and completing any required steps.

7. User Conduct and Responsibilities

You agree not to: use the Service for any illegal purpose, attempt unauthorised access, transmit malware, use automated scraping tools, reverse engineer the Service, or impersonate any person or entity.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all content, features, functionality, software, design, text, images, logos, and trademarks (excluding your user content), is owned by Subtrack-App or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Third-Party Services

We use third-party service providers including:

  • Stripe: Payment processing
  • Resend: Email delivery
  • Sentry: Error tracking and monitoring
  • Google: Gmail API (when you connect Gmail)
  • Microsoft: Microsoft Graph API (when you connect Outlook)

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Subtrack-App shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time using the "Delete Account" feature in Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, extended inactivity, or suspected fraudulent activity.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms. Material changes will be notified in advance. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
